I looked at Britney, John, Elizabeth, George, and Christina's blogs. I like how much detail they include in their blogs everyday. I think we are all learning the same amount, it's just different internships. I really like Britney's the most because she gives the most detail in what she did.
Today, me and my mentor talked more about my project. We ordered some albums and one of them I can keep and use for my own album. Today is a pretty chill day and at least it wasn't as cold as it was the last time I was here. My mentor took a look at some of the pictures I had taken two weeks ago and says I have an eye for dramatic shots. :) The main shots I will have to focus on for my project are details, group photos, and photos that can tell a story. This one here on the left is a sample of my mentor's work. This photo has had a color wash effect and I tells a story. It was taken at our very own Ms. Galvan's wedding! I hope that I can apply these techniques to my own photo album for my project.

I didn't go to my internship today because I was sick.
Blog 5: Friday Dec. 17th, Hours and Project
Today, my mentor taught me the structure of how a wedding album is put together. She gave me a list of how many of each type of photo has to be included; such as "getting ready" shots, "ceremony" shots and "first encounter" shots of the bride and groom. She then had me go through and pick the best ones for those type of shots for an album. Ms Galvan visited me at my internship today as well. Her, my mentor, and I all sat down and talked about possible projects. I think what I'll end up doing is create a small wedding album all by myself. My essential question could be "What goes into making a wedding album?" or what the process would be for making one. The leadership skills I can use would involve me managing a project on my own and meeting deadlines.
Intro Post: How I plan to get my WLE: Oct 26th
I am interested in interning at a photography studio or at an animal shelter. I got a slow start but I managed to e-mail someone and I am waiting for her to respond. I am also still looking for other places to intern at in Hayward because that would be most helpful for me.
I plan to go visit local animal shelters opposed to just calling or sending an e-mail. I think this would be better so that I can see what the shelters look like and maybe get to see some of the animals. As for photography studios, Im still just going to search for them online and e-mail people.
